西北大学工程和应用科技学院的研究人员们开发了一种新的BT下载软件插件，他们号称可以让BT软件提速最高207%。
这个插件名为Ono，目前支持Azureus BT客户端，因为采用GPL的方式发行，以后可以集成到Bitcomet、uTorrent等软件中。
这个插件的原理就是让你的客户端更优先连接邻近的电脑，原理简单但是实现起来很不容易，因为互联网电脑IP跟地域的关系很复杂，IP地址并不能确定哪台电脑离你近。这款插件是利用了AKamai内容发行网络提供商和其他门户网站的访问速度来判断距离，例如，如果你的电脑ping雅虎、微软等几大网站跟某人类似，你们可能离的比较近。
