Aquos II 风格的vista主题by yoitzalvin

"Aquos II" by yoitzalvin

IMPORTANT: IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO INSTALL THE SP1-COMPATIBLE SHELL32.DLL I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU SETUP A RESTORE POINT BEFORE PROCEEDING. I FORGOT TO INCLUDE THIS IN THE INSTRUCTIONS.

A theme that is inspired by some of the biggest names in theme editing.

Available in 3 sub-styles

Available for users who HAVE and HAVE NOT installed Vista Service Pack 1

Here's another reason why you shouldn't doubt your Vista operating system just yet. As requested by the people, I have made a thinner version for my Aquos visual style. The style comes with three sub-styles: 22px, 26px, and 28px. These numbers are referring to the height of the taskbar. It seems like the people think that thin is the new in and that wide is not right. Well I agree with you. After using getting used to thin taskbars, the default size of the original taskbar looks too big now. I really learned a lot from making themes, but it wasn't easy learning it. Hex-editing is one of the most painful things I ever had to learn because it is a very tricky thing to do when you are completely fresh to it. When you mess up your computer because of hex editing you could get lost real easily. It's a good thing I was taught by the best in this community.

My main goal of creating this theme was to create a very sleek, clean, smooth, and most importantly in my opinion, minimalist. Although a clear theme can provide versatility to any editor, I do think that it has its limits. Wallpaper selection may and/or can be a very crucial choice in seeing how well the theme turns out as a whole. In terms of brightness of the wallpaper, if the wallpaper is too bright, it may/can interfere with the text on the taskbar and the start menu. In addition, if the wallpaper is too dark, it can ruin the joy of the theme because all you see is darkness on the taskbar and start menu. So that's why I think your choice of wallpaper could affect the turnout of the theme. In terms of integration of wallpaper with the theme, I wanted to create a theme where virtually any color(s) of the wallpaper can easily blend in with the elements of my theme. I didnt want to create a theme where you were just limited to a specific wallpaper because the theme has limited you to it. i wanted to create a theme where the person can pick virtually any wallpaper and at the same time enjoy it with the theme. although my theme sort of has a gray thing going on, i think you can still enjoy it with any color of a wallpaper.

If you didn't notice before, I posted a journal the day that I am releasing Aquos II about me delaying the theme because of a screwup I had with Vista Service Pack 1. My computer is healthy once again. I didn't expect it to be done this fast, but I get to release my theme

Changes from V3:

- Slimmer Start taskbar
- Slimmer Start menu
- Check marks
- Fill-Ins
- List View Header

Requirements:

- Windows Vista 32-Bit (Home Premium or Business or Ultimate)
- You must verify that your computer is running on a 32-Bit or 64-Bit by navigating the properties of "Computer" (formerly known as "My Computer"
- WinRAR (Needed to open this package)

Notes:

#1 - Once again, this style is completely not original. They came from various sources of themes done by the very best of this community. I am glad to have been given the opportunity to redistribute such great resources. So redistribution of these resources is completely forbidden. Please recognize that theme editing is NEVER a simple process. It requires a very keen sense of detail and imagination along with dedication and originality. You must use blood, sweat, and tears in making one that you hope will attract the community. My skills in theme editing does not even come close to par to what the theme editors make because I mostly use resource tuner and very little use of photoshop and hex editing. So when you take something you like and want to spread it around, abide by the honor system and recognize the person because that's all they ask in return. They're not asking for a big favor. Just to be recognized that they did something good.

#2 - Please PRECISELY follow the instructions that I have provided to you. They should be able to solve your problems. I did not make those instructions for nothing ya know?

Credits:

March 16, 2008 - "Satin2" [link] (Taskbar and Start Menu) and "VistaBreeze" [link] (Mouseover Hover Image For Start Menu) by Michel8170. Once again, this theme is inspired by one of the best visual styles out there in this community. it's because of this visual style alone that inspired me to join this community. i decided to throw a little spin to the start menu by actually taking portions of his start menu and using photoshop to craft somewhat of a new start menu. but it's still taken from his theme. i would like to acknowledge Michael for giving the opportunity to distribute my little spin to his theme.

March 15, 2008 - "Lucent" [link] (Min-Max-Close Buttons) by ralph1975. In addition I would like to thank Ralph for making a contributon to my theme. He was the one responsible for making the medium sized version of this theme. I didn't expect him to actually make one when I asked for his help about hex editing. but i will take it as it is and add it. i would like to thank him for that.

March 16, 2008 - "NEXTLevel" [link] by Vathanx. I have been given the opportunity to once again distribute resources from another of the best theme editors out there in dA. I also decided to throw my own spin using the resources that I was approved to use. I took the OK-CANCEL buttons that was featured in his theme and actually made a working list view header. you can see this directly under the details pane (shell style). I would like to thank Ryan for giving me the chance to make good use of his resources

March 24, 2008 - "Tiger VS" [link] by -kol. My newest additions to my theme are the check marks and fill-in dots that was featured in -kol's theme. i got this idea when i was looking at my friend's mac laptop. he had a grey visual style in his mac and when i looked at it, it looked very clean and polished. so i then searched for it on dA and luckily found it in -kol's gallery. i would like to thank him for letting me use it.

March 27, 2008 - "Luxurious" [link] by jemaho. Once again, jemaho has given me the chance to borrow his toolbar background from his theme so that I can use it as the shell style for my theme. the first time i saw it i fell in love with it. it was very clean, sleek, and most importantly very smooth. this particular element has become a permanent keeper for me and i would like to thank jemaho for allowing me to use it as the shell style.

March 16, 2008 - "CapZune Vista Theme FINAL" [link] by CaptTechDude514. Just like the first release of Aquos, the second release features the return of the Vista flag that was featured in his theme. I noticed that I have not seen a Vista start flag used as the start button in Visual Styles. I've seen a lot of them as a part of a WindowsBlind theme, but very seldom-none for a VS. So I decided to also throw my own spin to it by using the original colors of the Vista flag as the clicked state of the start button. I would like recognize CaptTechDude514 for his contribution by allowing me to use it as a part of mine.

March 16, 2008 - "Reanimero VS For Vista" [link] by MireTank. I would like to recognize MireTank for his part in making my theme a very clean and sleek one that everyone can enjoy by giving me his approval to use his address bar and search field from his theme. it was this particular resource that gave me the final touches to my theme.

March 17, 2008 - "Blue Aurora ShellStyle" [link] by Mheltin. I would like to thank Rommel for giving me the chance to redistribute the glow that you see on the taskbar. when i first saw it, i wanted to use it as part of Aquos because it fits well with the pseudoglow that i have going on with the address bar and search field.

Last but DEFINITELY not least, I would to recognize psycob and UKIntel for their hard work in their hex editing tutorial. this goes to show that your works are never going to waste

[I hope this earns me a daily deviation......just kidding  dont wanna think ahead of myself ]

I am looking forward to making a Vista Revamped V4. So far I have plans, but nothing in the computer so far. I'm planning on making another remix to the original Aero theme for those who still want to stay true to Vista.
